Morrowind Graphics Extender on Linux

On February 11, 2012, in broken games, by Necron99

While the Steam Morrowind version will run on Linux, using the Morrowind Graphics Extender and installed graphics mods is a definite must to get updated graphics…

Unfortunately I found it impossible to install and run.  All research on-line also shows it is not possible to run MGE under Wine…

I run ubuntu, and just wanted to let you know of the openMW project, which is built to create an open source implementation of the Morrowind engine, and it is coming along quite nicely! Native morrowindgasm!
